Hello Top Guns, on the top again!

As you probably know, our U.S. Postal Service increases the cost of a first class letter from $.37 to $.39 this January, 2006. I am reminding you of this because I do not want our American Economy to go into a tailspin over this seemingly innocuous increase.

Have you considered the actual financial impact of the $.02 increase to our Amercan Economy? We all end up paying for it, beyond the mail.

We have.

Let's assume 10 million Americans make a special trip to purchase $.02 stamps taking an average of 30 minutes round trip, "summer?" Let's assume an average hourly value of their time is $14 per hour, plus minor costs. In this projection, the cost/time value of 10 million Americans buying $.02 stamps is NINETY MILLION DOLLARS. Wow! My National network group takes comfort in the fact that our simple gesture of sending out this $.02 to those we know, as well as reminding those who visit our website, has saved the country a bundle, now put it on your list to buy and save the gas. Make all the trips count.

As Always,

Gregg Maul
